Getting Out of a Rocker Recliner

Having difficulty getting out of a rocker recliner? Place a stack of books, a couple of pieces of wood or hand weights under both front edges of the frame of the chair (not under the base)! This will stop the rocker recliner from rocking forward giving you 2-3 more inches of lift when standing up or sitting down.
